Give a Yiti

I know this is not a Mazda ng. I am hoping that Ford puts this engine in one of is cars. 99 Mazda 626 LX 1.4 4 cylinder Automatic 40K miles This car will hesitate, spit and sputter on take off 60 percent of the time. It idles GREAT and runs GREAT. only when you accelerate from idle does it do this and only for a second and then it kicks in and goes. I took it to the Mazda dealer who charged me $50 to tell me there were no error codes and offered to Tune it up for $390. I have already replaced the fuel filter, spark plugs, air filter and PCV valve. Does anyone have a suggestion as to what this could be?   Thanks, Rob
