Science has to its credit has always sought truth, regardless of the consequences. One cannot but admire those who in their day insisted that the earth was round and circled the sun, despite threats of imprisonment or burning at the stake for heretical ideas. Their legacy is that to this day scientists are, in general, seen as honest men and women who will have no truck with the sort of rubbish that George has been regurgitating. This is what invalidates George's attempts to present himself as a scientific star; the clear perception that he does not deal in truth when it conflicts with his ego. Admittedly, there have been many who have perverted science for their own ends, such as the cretinous creationists and the racists, but they are the intellectually flawed.
