what does the brainstem do when does a child become a child?
Human fetuses look remarkable like human babies, and not very much like blobs of tissue. Same can be said for chimpanzee fetii.

writes: What is happening here is that the anti c4m advocates want women to not only have their cake and eat it, but to have someone else pay for their cake. It really should be an either-or proposition. Either overhaul custody laws to give men real enforceable rights to access/custody, or bite the bullet and admit that in order to be fair, men must be given the option to opt out of unwanted parenthood. Any other option is unjust. Since men do have real, enforceable, rights to access and custody, will you shut up now? Chris Dicely I am 6 months pregnant, and unmarried. It is people like YOU(if you're the one saying it's a womans *duty* to have an abortion, etc etc) who give people like me who are trying their best to raise their baby a bad name. Thanks for your words of support. Since you voluteered the information.... How did you come into the situation of being 6 month pregnant & unmarried? Did your spouse die? Are you a teenager? Does the 'father' know of the pregnancy? will he be contributing to the raising of the child? What will you do for a father for the child... a male role model? Jaguar

May God Bless you for your courage, raising a baby as a single parent is one of the most couragous things we as humans can do. You and your baby are in my prayers. Peace Or it's one of the most stupid things, but then the line between stupidity and courage has often been a fine one. Good luck. As a new parent myself I'd say the most important thing to remember is to not take things _too_ seriously. If you can keep your sense of humor when the poop hits the fan (or your new clothes) then the rest will come.

: Pre-birth, the biological parents are not : similarly situated; however, after birth they : are. Yeah, right. Similarly situated wrt custody as well? I think not. : You _title_d this thread abortion for : males. Why? Because you, too, want to avoid : gestation? No; because you wish to avoid : parental rights and responsibilities. What rights? : After birth, however, the parents are similarly situated. : There is nothing that a man, by virtue of his lack : of a uterus, is less able to do for the newborn than : the mother. Therefore he should have equal access to custody, right? Thanks for your words of support. No, I don't see that anywhere in this post, and certainly not from me. Several of my close friends are young single parents, and I wholeheartedly support them.
